Have Fun and Learn Important Skills

Awesome Escape Rooms 4 Kids is seeks to bring some escape room excitement to your child's life. Participants start by choosing their escape room theme. Then, they make and test puzzles, ciphers, challenges and art for their escape room. On the last day, parents try to escape the room. The program is a great way to have fun and develop useful skills. Please send your child with extra snacks and a water bottle.

 

The Escape Room Adventure Programs provide opportunities for students to learn:

• Core Competencies: Critical and Creative Thinking (3 decision-making models, design logical escape room). Communication (feedback skills). Identity (room reflects interests). Personal and Social Awareness (self-regulation in teamwork; appropriate for school).

• Applied Design: Students use NASA engineering design process to design their escape room.

• Technologies: Systems Analysis to identify the scope and potential problems. Process Modeling to identify items for each layer. Process and Interface Architecture to identify how the puzzles will fit together and how users will understand the escape room steps.

• Problem-Solving: Students practice problem-solving when they develop puzzles that stump their parents.
